Jonathan Crabtree Middletown Ohio Arrested – Jonathan Crabtree, 24, of Middletown, Ohio, was taken into custody early Thursday, December 4, 2025, following a violent series of events that began with a stabbing in Middletown and escalated into the theft of a police cruiser and an interstate pursuit. Authorities in both Ohio and Kentucky are now coordinating as Crabtree faces charges across state lines.
The incident began around 3:50 a.m. when Middletown police and fire crews responded to a reported stabbing in the 4400 block of Bonita Drive. First responders found a victim suffering from more than 30 stab wounds. The individual was rushed to Atrium Medical Center before being airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
At approximately 7:30 a.m., officers approached the vehicle and arrested Crabtree without incident, bringing the interstate chase to an end. He was transported to the Kenton County Detention Center, where he remains in custody. Independence Police charged him with receiving stolen property valued at more than $10,000, a felony under Kentucky law.
Additional charges are expected once Crabtree is extradited to Ohio, where he will face allegations related to the stabbing and the theft of the police cruiser.
